Bear Chase General Manager, Chris Suarez, Receives “40 Under 40” Award

Bear Chase Brewery’s general manager, Chris Suarez (37), was recently honored with the prestigious “40 Under 40” award, which recognizes Loudoun County, Virginia’s rising business and community leaders.

More than 260 applicants, 40 chosen

More than 260 Loudoun County business professionals were nominated for this year’s class, and 40 were chosen from past award winners. Suarez and his fellow nominees were recognized at an exclusive awards dinner at Celebrations Farm in Bluemont, Virginia on August 26, and in a special section in the Loudoun Times-Mirror newspaper the following day.

In its seventh year, the awards program has featured some of Loudoun County’s most accomplished and inspiring young talent. Each winner is recognized as a stand-out in his or her profession and is committed to making the Loudoun community a better place to live and work.

One of the highlights of his career

As the general manager of Bear Chase Brewery since its opening three years ago, receiving this honor is a great achievement for Suarez, who currently resides with his family and has worked in Loudoun County for nine years.

“It means the world to me,” Suarez said of winning the award. “To receive this on behalf of the whole Bear Chase company and to be recognized in this way is truly one of the highlights of my career. I am very honored,” he said.

Third time’s the charm

This is the third time Suarez was considered for the “40 Under 40” award. Last year’s contest was scrapped because of COVID 19, which was a “heartbreaker” for Suarez at the time. However, he is truly grateful to be a 2021 recipient and receive these accolades on behalf of himself and the entire Bear Chase organization!
